Crayon Initiative at Utley Middle School helps hospitalized kids

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 31, 2019) Students and staff at Utley Middle School are supporting a non-profit organization called ‘The Crayon Initiative’ which takes crayons that would otherwise be thrown away and donates them to be recycled and turned into new crayons. These new crayons are then donated to children’s hospitals all over the US.

Utley’s art teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Lawhorn, first became interested in this program after her son was in the hospital and she saw what a need there was for crayons that young children could use.

If you would like to donate your used crayons, in any condition, please send them to Utley Middle School.
