Rockwall police to participate in Drug Take Back Oct. 26

Drop off unused, expired prescription meds and vape pens

 

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 14, 2019) The Rockwall Police Department will participate  in the Drug Take Back Initiative from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26. You may drop off unused or expired medication at the John Fitzwater Sr. Community Services Center located at 1113 Ridge Road. 

They are not able to take liquids, aerosol containers or needles.

The Drug Enforcement Administration is also accepting vape pens to be disposed of. The batteries must be removed from the vape pen. If you are not able to drop off your unused or expired medications on that day, there is a drop box located at the police station that is available 24 hours a day. The address is 205 W. Rusk St. and it is a red box that is to the right of the “Communications Center” entrance.
