Texas Tradition Continues with Bluebonnet Stomp at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary

(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX – Oct. 4, 2019) Amy Parks-Heath Elementary celebrated “Texas Week” with their traditional Bluebonnet Stomp!  Students wore their school shirts with western wear and gathered to sing songs about Texas and “stomp” bluebonnet seeds into the ground.

The older students even provided fun entertainment by performing traditional line dancing. The main goal of the event is to plant bluebonnet seeds around campus and watch them grow into beautiful bluebonnets in the Spring.  It’s a fun tradition and each year the school has more and more bluebonnets blooming!

The students were honored to have State Representative Justin Holland and his family attend the event to present the school with a Texas Flag.
