Rockwall Breakfast Rotary wraps up successful coat drive with help of generous sponsors

The Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club, in conjunction with Rockwall ISD and the Rainbow Room of Rockwall County, provided over 250 new coats to kids in need through its 2019 Coats for Kids program. The event took place at Old Navy in Rockwall on Nov. 16.

In previous years, all the children were referred by Rockwall ISD. This year Breakfast Rotary’s desire was to expand the program, and children from the Rockwall County Rainbow Room received new coats also.

Chiloso provided breakfast burritos and Starbucks on North Goliad provided plenty of hot coffee. The kids came with their families, picked out a coat of their choice, grabbed a donut and burrito and provided the Breakfast Rotary with a lot of great smiles.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for next year’s event in November at Old Navy. To learn more, contact Gary Peipenburg at 214-608-1756 or or John Adams at 469-387-0585 or .
