Amy Hilton files for Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees, Place 6

Amy Hilton, a 14-year resident of Heath, has filed for the election of Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees Place 6.

Mrs. Hilton is a 1996 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BBA in Accounting and has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant for over 20 years. Amy and her husband, Robert, have four children who all attend RISD schools. Hilton has been actively involved in RISD school leadership serving two terms as the first president of Linda Lyon Elementary PTO as well as serving two terms as the president of Rockwall-Heath Early Childhood PTA.

A past recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award and a graduate of Rockwall ISD Leadership Academy, Mrs. Hilton is currently serving on the boards of RISD Council of PTAs, Cain Middle School PTA, Linda Lyon Elementary PTO and the National League of Junior Cotillions Rockwall Chapter.  Amy has been mentoring young women in RISD secondary schools since 2013 through the W.I.N.G.S. mentoring program. The Hiltons are active members of First Baptist Church of Rockwall where they have taught children’s Sunday School for the past nine years.

“It is my desire to expand my service to children to all students in Rockwall ISD and I will work hard to ensure that we are empowering and equipping students to achieve excellence in their chosen life path.  For each of the next three years my own children will be students on our elementary, middle school, and high school campuses so I am, and will continue to be, personally vested at every level of Rockwall ISD,” said Mrs. Hilton.

The Board of Trustees election takes place on May 2 with early voting from April 20 through 28..  The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is April 20.
