Dodie’s Cajun Diner at The Harbor

Sweetheart Menu available Feb. 14 & 15, $54.99/couple. Add a bottle of house wine, $16.99. Begin with Oysters on the Half Shell or Classic Shrimp Cocktail, and House Salad. Choose from Blackened Rib Eye with Brown Sugar Glaze, Stuffed Cajun Chicken Rockefeller, Redfish Pontchartrain with Crabmeat Beurre Blanc, or Crawfish Ravioli topped with Pan Seared Jumbo Shrimp. Pier 101 Seafood Bar & Grill (101 S. Fannin St., Suite 100)

No reservation? No problem. They are serving their lunch menu til 2:30 on Valentine’s Day, with Happy Hour from 3 to 7.

Valentine’s Day Specials include heart-shaped, Lobster Stuffed Ravioli served in a lobster bisque with slice asparagus, and Spinach and Artichoke Crab Dip served with housemade tortilla chips. Dessert specials are Tiramisu and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. $3 glasses of Sycamore Lane Chardonnay or Cabernet with purchase of entree.

Waffle House (2610 Ridge Road)

Enjoy dinner at Rockwall’s romantic roadside destination. Our local Waffle House was unable to confirm what items may be offered on their special Valentine’s menu, but they say romance is best served with hashbrowns! They’re taking reservations from 5 to 9 p.m. Reservations: 972-772-0062.

Chef Renato has crafted a delicious four course dinner that is sure to make this special night even more romantic. $74.95/per person + tax and gratuity. First course includes your choice of Cuore di Grancchio, Farfalla di Formaggio, or Crespollini de Capone I Epinaci. Second course includes your choice of Zuppa di Vongole or Insalatta Panzzonella. Third course is your choice of Spigola su Riso, Bob’s Favorite Pork Chop, Bistecca al Ferro, or Transino si salmone.  Top that off with Tarta di Fragolini e Kiwi.
