Cullins-Lake Pointe Elementary resumes normal activity following brief lockdown

(ROWLETT, TX) The Rowlett Police Department posted the following update on their Facebook page, following an incident at Cullins-Lake Pointe Elementary School that resulted in a brief lockdown:

“Rowlett Police responded to Cullins Elementary School today around 12:30pm due to a disturbance involving a student. Due to the actions of that student, the school was placed in lockdown for a brief period of time while the situation was deescalated by our patrol officers. This action was taken to ensure the safety and well being of all parties on the campus.

Once the student was taken into custody without further incident, and all potential threats were addressed, the school resumed normal activity.”
