Max Geron sworn in today as Rockwall Chief of Police

(ROCKWALL, TX) Today Max Geron was officially sworn in as Chief of Police at the Rockwall Police Department.

When Rockwall City Manager Rick Crowley selected Max Geron to serve as the new Chief of Police back in January, Crowley said, “Chief Geron brings a great attitude, skill set and broad range of experience, as well great appreciation and respect for the Rockwall Police Department, and the resolve to continue the great tradition of service to our citizens and departmental professionalism that we currently enjoy.”

Geron began his career with the Dallas Police Department in 1992. He served as Acting Deputy Chief in the DPD, where he supervised nearly 400 personnel.

Chief Geron holds a Master Peace Officer Certification, and is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Police Executive Research Forum. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Midwestern State University and a master’s degree in national security studies from the United States Naval Postgraduate School.
