Official update from Rowlett Police: Joshua Parker’s disappearance ‘voluntary’

 

(ROWLETT, TX) The Rowlett Police Department today shared the following update and press release regarding a missing person report for Joshua Parker:

“First and foremost, we at the Rowlett Police Department would like to thank all agencies and persons who gave time and resources to assist in this investigation.

Every investigation is different and contains its own unique set of facts and circumstances. We will continue to give 100% effort into all our investigations by taking the totality of circumstances into account and finding the truth.

Here is our official press release as to the incident regarding this missing person:

 On Feb. 4, 2020, the Rowlett Police Department was notified about a missing person identified as 35-year-old Joshua Parker. Parker was last heard from on Feb. 2, 2020. On Feb. 4, the missing person’s unoccupied vehicle was located at 6700 Miller Road at Lake Ray Hubbard Paddle Point Park in Rowlett. Rowlett police searched the area, but Parker was not located.
On Feb. 7, 2020, Lake Ray Hubbard was searched by boat, on foot and by air with the assistance of the Texas Game Warden’s volunteer search team and the Texas DPS helicopter.

UPDATE Feb. 10, 2020

Based on subsequent information gathered during this investigation Detective Services believe that Parker is not a missing person. No foul play is suspected, and his disappearance appears to be voluntary.
