‘Water’ update at Rockwall County Historical Foundation lecture Friday

(ROCKWALL, TX) This Friday, the Rockwall County Historical Foundation will welcome Tom Kula, who has served as Executive Director of the North Texas Municipal Water District for more than five years, for a presentation entitled, “Water,” as part of its Sheri Stodghill Lecture Series.

The program, which is free and open to the public, will be at noon Friday, Feb. 14 at the historic Rockwall County Courthouse in downtown Rockwall.

Kula is a graduate of West Point with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served 32 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a Brigadier General. Tom will provide an overview of the District’s history of providing water in a state that has only one natural lake and give an update on major water projects underway to continue supplying this fast-growing region with water for our future.
