COVID-19 Update from the City of Rowlett

The City of Rowlett Mayor Tammy Dana-Bashian issued the following amendment to her Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health Emergency for Rowlett on March 24, 2020. The amendment was made due to the ongoing evaluation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the updated recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and the Texas Department of State Services, and the amendments to the proclamations and declarations of disaster and emergency by the Governor and the Dallas County Judge.

It is important to note that if you are in Rowlett (resident or business) then the City of Rowlett Order is what applies to you, regardless of the portion of Rowlett in which you live or have your business. The City Order takes precedence.

The following is the Dallas County amended March 24 order by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. The amended order adds a provision for enforcement of this order, clarifies more businesses as “essential”, and clarifies the process for applying for an exemption to this order.Submitted by the City of Rowlett.
