Love will find a way: Birthday celebration through a nursing home window

(ROCKWALL, TX – March 26, 2020) Our Blue Ribbon News team is greatly moved by the messages of love and hope we continue to receive from readers, especially through this challenging and unprecedented time. Susan Duke shared the following, regarding her husband Harvey’s birthday:

“I was crying and so upset because I couldn’t see him at the nursing center where he is because of advanced Parkinson’s. But I remembered something Mama had always said, ‘Where there’s a will there’s a way.’ So with a homemade sign, a favorite snack basket and a greeting card that barks the Happy Birthday song, and my Schnauzer, Baby, wearing her party hat, 🎉 we stood outside the window of the nursing center – determined to share some birthday cheer. During these trying times, if even through a window, LOVE FINDS A WAY. ♥️”
