The Rockwall County Master Gardener Association is hosting “Water Wise”  –  How to water your garden effectively on March 17.  The class will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Rockwall County Extension Office.  Cost is $15.

This class will be instructed by Master Gardener Jim Bartholomew.  Jim is certified in advanced irrigation efficiency.  Whether you have an existing irrigation system or no irrigation system, there is something to learn to help you reduce your water use and save money.

For those with existing systems, lessons will include fine tuning an existing irrigation zone with a better controller and more efficient sprinkler heads or how to convert and existing system with a more efficient DRIP system.

For those that have no system, learn how to install a DRIP system using your existing hose connectors.  Weather permitting there will be a demonstration of these practices.

Save water and money by attending this class to learn which irrigation method is most efficient to use and what equipment is readily available and easy to install. Call 972-204-7660 by March 13 for registration information.
