Rockwall Police Officers Association to host ‘Fill the Truck’ supply drive for Women in Need

(ROCKWALL, TX – April 26, 2020) As the local nonprofit Women in Need runs low on supplies during the Coronavirus pandemic, the Rockwall Police Officers Association will host a “Fill the Truck” event the week of May 4-9 at the Rockwall Police Department, 205 W. Rusk Street.

Supplies needed include shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, hairbrushes, pony tail holders, headbands, food pantry items including Hamburger Helper, popcorn, juice and juice boxes, snacks, graham crackers, and Lysol/cleaning products.

Items may be dropped off at 205 W. Rusk Street in the lobby beginning Monday, May 4 and on Saturday in the front lot, from 9 a.m. to noon.

WIN has 26 years of experience in providing services to adult victims of family violence and their children. They are a Family Violence Service Provider with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a Shelter Center. By providing shelter, increasing knowledge of the problem, and stressing viable solutions, WIN hopes to eliminate family violence and be part of a widespread movement to create a society that no longer tolerates the abuse of power through violence.
