Sheri Stodghill Lecture Series

Rockwall County Historical Foundation presents its Sheri Stodghill 
Lecture Series 2016 from noon to 1 p.m. at Rockwall’s historic 
downtown courthouse, with a history of the #1 British Flight Training 
School located in Terrell. Learn the story of how the largest facility 
of its kind was used to train more than 2,000 British and American 
pilots between 1941 and 1945. Free and open to the public.

Prepared Childbirth Class

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall will offer a two-day 
interactive class to help prepare you for the birth of your baby. Topics 
include signs of labor, what to expect during labor and birth, preparing 
for a newborn, and a hospital tour. Runs 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 9 
a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Class schedule subject to change. $85/couple.

4-H Kick-Off

Rockwall County 4-H welcomes everyone to a kick-off event from 
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the northwest lawn of the Rockwall County 
Courthouse, 1111 East Yellow Jacket Lane. Club leaders and members 
will introduce themselves and share what they do. Project demos 
will help families learn about the opportunities available in 4-H.

ing event on Lake Ray Hubbard that pays tribute to wife, mother and

9/11 Memorial Trail Run

A free event from 8:15 to 11 a.m. for first responders and supporters of 
first responders to gather at Raymond Cameron Lake Park for a 3.43 
mile run/walk, 23 pushups and 37 sit-ups, which represents the 403 
first responders who died on Sept. 11, 2001. No registration required.

First Responders Concert

Enjoy a free patriotic pops Back the Blue and First Responders 
Concert presented by Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra and featuring 
a community-wide choir at First United Methodist Church of

Lunch & Learn: Rehab

The community is welcome at the free Lunch & Learn event at 
noon at the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall. Brian Abraham 
from Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute will discuss rehab and the 
differences between inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, and outpatient 
home health. YMCA membership not required to attend.

Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride

The inaugural Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride will begin at the Rock-
wall County Courthouse, 1111 E. Yellowjacket Lane with proceeds ben-
efiting the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County. Registra-
tion: 8 to 11 a.m.; kickstands up and clutches out at noon. Police escorted 
ride through Rockwall County. $15 per rider with new, unwrapped soft

The Re-Story Conference with local author Mary DeMuth will be from
