(ROWLETT, TX – April 21, 2015) Bring the entire family to the Rowlett Community Centre (5300 Main Street) to honor fallen military heroes at the Memorial Day Celebration featuring Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event begins with the Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. in front of the Rowlett Community Centre, located at 5300 Main Street, honoring the men and women who gave their lives to preserve freedom. The Rowlett Police and Fire Honor Guard will present the flag ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the event will continue with ‘Touch-A-Truck’, a fun and educational opportunity for children of all ages to touch and explore large construction vehicles, fire engines, police cars, ambulances, school bus, DART bus, 18-wheelers, the and more! There will be a DJ, bounce houses, and face painting.
Admission is free and parking will be available onsite as well as at the Rowlett High School Parking Lot. Local sponsors include LakePointe Medical Center, State Farm Insurance, First Step Chiropractic, Chick-fil-A, First Rowlett Methodist Church, Waste Management, Congressman Pete Sessions, Main Street Dental and Jason’s Deli.
