(ROCKWALL, TX – Feb. 23, 2016) Several students from Jones Elementary School saw their hard work pay off in a big way during this year’s Rockwall ISD Elementary UIL Academic Competitions held at Utley Middle School earlier this month. Students competed in the following categories: Oral Reading, Music Memory, Spelling, Chess, Number Sense, Storytelling, Ready Writing, and Graphs, Maps and Charts. Collin Mask and Zain Shalabi won 6th in their respective Number Sense competitions, Cate Hargrave placed 2nd in fourth grade Ready Writing, Carly Fox earned 2nd in third grade spelling, Hallie Curry placed 1st and Katie Milberger placed 3rd in fourth grade oral reading, and Gabby Rodriguez received a certificate for a perfect paper in Music Memory. Congrats to each of these students on their success!
