Rockwall County Library to host Spring Break events for kids

(ROCKWALL, TX — Feb. 26, 2016) The Rockwall County Library, located at 1215 E Yellow Jacket Ln, will host a full schedule of fun and educational programs for youngsters this coming Spring Break (March 7-11). The following programs will offer fun storytelling in the form of puppets, ventriloquism, visual arts and educational entertainment from some special guests for kids between the ages of 4 and 8:

Monday, March 7, 2016, at 11:15 a.m.:  S&D Puppetry
Puppeteers Sandra McLean and Sandy Shrout will be here with their special retelling of The Tortoise and the Hare.  For ages 4-8.

Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 11:15 a.m.:  StoryART with Ann Marie
Let’s celebrate creativity!  Enjoy a highly interactive and imaginative fusion of storytelling, theater, and visual art with Ann Marie! For ages 4-8.

Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 6:30 p.m.: Storyteller Dorayne Breedlove
Journey with Max to Where the Wild things Are! This Caldecott classic comes alive as children become the wild things and dance the wild rumpus dance to exciting jungle music.  Great for children ages 4-8.

Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 11:15 a.m.: Reading & Rhyming with Mother Goose
Your favorite storyteller is coming to the Rockwall County Library!  Get ready for puppets, ventriloquism, and stories galore with Mother Goose!  Best for ages 4-6.

Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 11:15 a.m.: Storyteller Genie Hammel
Join Genie Hammel, AKA The Magic Genie, for stories that come alive with puppets and a bit of magic!  For ages 4-8.
