Annual car show to benefit Garland health clinic

(GARLAND, TX — March 28, 2016) The Hope Clinic invites all to its 2nd Annual Wheels of Hope Car Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, in downtown Garland. All proceeds benefit the Hope Clinic—a nonprofit offering medical services to those suffering financial hardships.

“Last year, we raised more than $30,000. We would love to give even more this year,” said Wheels of Hope Chairman James Miller. “The size, class and location of our show make it unique. But it is not just a competition. It is truly an event for the entire community.”

Boasting 16 competition categories from antique to modern cars and trucks, Wheels of Hope also offers food, fun, fellowship and a pristine parking location: the famous Downtown Garland Square. Competitors and car enthusiasts alike can enjoy mariachi and steel drum band entertainment during the show, as well as a headline performance by Chaz Marie-Hope and Robert Miller. Garland ISD students will also impress attendees with auto-themed artwork, including painted hoods and gas tanks. Bringing children? Be sure to stop by the face painting and hub cap painting areas.

In addition to Best in Class, Best in Show, Best Paint and Chairman’s awards, raffle prizes—like beautiful blooms from Ruibal’s—and a 50/50 drawing can be won as well. Admission is free to attend and $20 to enter a vehicle.

The Hope Clinic is also seeking sponsors and participants for the car show. For more information and to register, visit wheelsofhopegarland.com.
