Local chiropractor helps families to live longer, healthier lives

(ROCKWALL, TX – March 18, 2016) When it comes to chiropractic care, Dr. Sean Jamalabadi (or Dr. Jamal, as his patients call him) of the new Rockwall Health Center (2880 Ridge Rd) isn’t simply satisfied with fixing one’s joint problems or back pain—he wants to make sure his patients live much longer, healthier lives once they’ve been treated.

With his local practice, Dr. Jamal incorporates chiropractic treatment along with clinical nutrition counseling, a unique approach which not only helps address many health problems such as sports injuries, neck and back pain, weight loss, sleep disorders and skin diseases, but also leads to faster, better recovery.

“A lot of the problems that may arise in the shoulders, in the joints or the spine may be also related to the organs as well,” Dr. Jamal said. “So I compare that relation when I’m trying to make an appropriate analysis of what’s actually happening with the patient. I’ll use certain things like whole food supplements to help them overcome that pain or irritation so that they can get better faster.”

The Rockwall Health Center opened in early January and offers chiropractic treatment and nutritional counseling for the whole family – kids included. The small practice consists of Dr. Jamal and his assistant, Jennifer Martinez, and comprises of two examination rooms and an office.

Dr. Jamal and his family have resided in Rockwall for 10 years. Growing up in Trinidad and Trobago in a family of medical doctors, Dr. Jamal was an avid soccer player and body builder until one day he suffered a lower back injury. While going through the chiropractic and health-based nutritional treatment at Logan University in St. Louis, MO, he realized how effective the treatment was and decided to enroll in the university, where he earned his degree in chiropractic, and eventually went on to become a certified chiropractor and clinical nutritionist.

In order to get a more full-scale look at a patient’s overall health, Dr. Jamal said he will look to determine if the problem is structural, chemically or emotionally based where the patient endures too much stress.

“Most of the time I’m sure the nervous system goes through so much stress just to accommodate what’s happening on a daily basis, which can structurally or chemically affect everything,” he said.

According to Dr. Jamal, while a person can appear very fit and healthy on the outside, their interior health might be a different story, and that one thing he tries to do for his patients is to reverse their interior physiological age so that they can live a healthy, extended life. While he does all the nutrition counseling and chiropractic treatment himself at the Rockwall Health Center, Dr. Jamal said he doesn’t shy away from assisting other doctors in the area.

“I feel like there’s a relationship between all of us, where they take care of a certain area of a patient’s health and I also take care of other needs to support that patient and build them back up so that they don’t have to deal with surgeries and medication on an on-going basis,” he said.

Dr. Jamal said while going through schooling at Logan University, he found his passion for family care and enjoys getting to see the positive changes his treatment brings in both his adult and child patients.

“To me it’s like that next step towards seeing what else I can really do more to help people live healthier, longer lives,” he said.
