(ROCKWALL, TX — April 14, 2016) Friends of the Rockwall County Library (FOL) were serenaded with some fabulous Broadway tunes by duo singer and accompanist Linda and Larry Petty during the FOL meeting on Tuesday, April 12.
Linda shared her love of books and libraries which led her to Broadway history, taking FOL members on a musical journey with her including “Blue Skies,” “On the Street Where You Live,” and her final number, “New York, New York!”
FOL President Gloria Bishop welcomed everyone and asked for additional volunteers for various committees of the organization. Memberships, social media and Book Alcove are just a few of the areas in need of help. Another way to help is by ordering “Pickles and Peppers” to benefit FOL.
