Heritage Christian junior wins tennis state championship

(ROCKWALL, TX — April 20,2016) Heritage Christian Academy’s Kyndall Misak became the TAPPS 3A Girl’s Singles State Champion last week in Waco.

Kyndall Misak upon receiving her State Championship medal poses with fellow teammates and TAPPS State participants Brendan Schroepfer & Alan Apolinar.

After winning the district tournament the previous week for the second straight year, Misak had a first round bye, and the time off proved beneficial. She cruised through her next four matches without dropping a set over Katherine Dillard (2-0), Katelyn Mader (2-0), Ally Dollander (2-0), and Katherine Kotara (2-0), to claim the title of State Champion.

In addition to Misak, HCA had two others at the state tournament; juniors Brendan Schroepfer and Alan Apolinar participated in boy’s doubles, but made an early first-round exit.
