(MCLENDON-CHISHOLM, TX — April 21, 2016) Mark Kipphut announced that he has received the endorsement of State Senator Bob Hall due to his senior military and executive business leadership experience, as well as, his long history of service to the nation and the community. Senator Hall expressed complete confidence in Kipphut in his election bid for McLendon-Chishom City Council Place 2 in Rockwall County.

Senator Hall said “I am pleased to endorse Mark Kipphut and urge all McLendon-Chisholm conservatives join with me in supporting him. Mark has rock solid conservative credentials and as a 26 year Air Force veteran, I know he has impeccable integrity and commitment to defend our Constitution and liberties. Mark is the smart choice to lead the city forward and will be an exceptional member of City Council.” Senator Hall believes Mark offers the best choice to provide strong fiscally responsible leadership with his commitment to low-taxes and limited government and promoting a pro-growth business climate.

The politically-conservative Kipphut served honorably in the United States Air Force for 26 years, retiring in the rank of Colonel in 2005. A decorated veteran, he has devoted his life to serving the nation and its citizens. After retiring from the Air Force, he joined the Raytheon Corporation where he led strategic planning and portfolio investments for its billion dollar Missile Systems Division in Arizona before moving to Texas in 2010 to become the Program Director overseeing major programs and contracts providing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance capabilities to the United States military for use in global combat operations.

“I am honored that the Senator Hall endorsed my candidacy and expressed his confidence and fidelity in me,” said Kipphut. “As a military veteran and former business executive, I know that low taxes and less regulation are the key ingredients to growing our economy.” On Council, Kipphut will strive to improve McLendon-Chisholm’s business environment and advocate for policies that foster restrained government, individual innovation and job creation. “The election on May 7th is about our city and our future — it would be my honor to represent the citizens of this wonderful community on their City Council,” said Kipphut.

Mark and his wife, Lorna have been married for 29 years and have one adult daughter, Madeline.
