ROCKWALL, TX – Aug. 3, 2016) Local moms with the Lake Pointe Church Moms Study group and their kids brought a bunch of goodies to the Rockwall Police Department on Friday, July 29, to show their love and support for their local police officers. Rockwall officers Ben Woodruff and David Andrews joined the moms and their kiddos in a prayer circle, and then treated the group to a tour of the department. Officer Andrews also showed the young ones all the cool gadgets inside one of the patrol vehicles.
Kristen Husebo with the Mom’s Study group said she and the other Lake Pointe Church moms wanted to show their gratitude for all folks with the Rockwall Police Department do to keep the city and its residents safe, and to support them after the recent tragic attacks on law enforcement.
“We put this together to show our support, love and appreciation to our local police station,” said. “With all the terrible shootings and publicity on our local heroes, we wanted to overcome any public fears with faith. What better way to do that than prayer and goodies for our local officers!”
