(HEATH, TX — Sept. 19, 2016) Payton is the daughter of Jeff Shelton and Brandi and Rick Ford, and has been selected as the Head Cheerleader for the 2016-2017 cheer team. She is a 2016 All State Cheerleader as well as NCA All-American cheerleader with two additional nominations. She has also received the Chevron reward for academic achievement 3 years in a row.
Payton was elected the class of 2017 Vice President her junior year and is now a student council officer for the 2016-2017 school year. She is also a member of the National Honors Society, PALS, and has done volunteer work for Speedway Children’s Charities of Texas for many years.
Payton is an active member of the Rockwall Young Life Ministry and attends Lake Pointe Church. She is excited about her Senior year at Rockwall-Heath High School and looks forward to attending college after graduation, she is currently considering TCU, UT-Austin, or the University of Oklahoma.
