Nebbie Williams homecoming float project promotes teamwork, school spirit

(ROCKWALL, TX — Oct. 20, 2016)  Nebbie Williams Elementary students and faculty enjoyed a positive, spirit-promoting, team-building experience while crafting their homecoming float for the parade this year. Nebbie William’s Student Spirit Squad (S3) and the student lighthouse team, along with staff members Lisa Efaw, Lavonda Montemayor, Leila Gibson, Lana Edwards, Brandi Lindsay, and Melanie Pyland, all took part in the effort to create the 80’s-themed float.

“Everybody pitched in as a team,” said Brandi Lindsay, Nebbie’s counselor. “We really felt a great sense of pride for our community.”

Nebbie Williams would like to thank the following parents for their amazing help: Mike Smith for donating the trailer and driving us through the parade, Mrs. Valentino and Mrs. Marro for decorating with balloons, Mrs. Samples for her use of duck tape, Mr. Brown for blowing up the inflatable instruments, and Mrs. Miller for her 80’s vision.
