(ROCKWALL, TX — Oct. 20, 2016) The Child Advocacy Center Board of Directors, with the help of the Rockwall Soroptimist, will host a luncheon fundraiser and book signing event on November 9, at 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Liberty Hall in the new Rockwall County Courthouse. Author Carter Hopkins is a 1992 graduate of Rockwall High School and will be signing his newly released book, “The Lincoln Prophecy”. Carter is an attorney in the cyber security industry and his fictional mystery novel, while historically based, also incorporates this aspect of his expertise. The novel’s murder mystery begins in Rockwall and the main character, Michael Riley, is a law professor at SMU so many settings will be familiar to local readers.
The proceeds of the luncheon and signed book purchases will benefit the Rockwall Child Advocacy Center at the Soroptimist House. Tickets for the luncheon may be purchased on line for $20.00 at RockwallCAC.org, from a Soroptimist or call 214 274 4270. Books may be purchased at the event for $15.00.
