Springer Elementary receives makeover with “Lowe’s Hero” project

(ROCKWALL, TX — Oct. 13, 2016)  Several volunteers from Lowe’s worked over the weekend to give Springer Elementary a face lift.  Springer was chosen for a “Lowe’s Hero” project, and Lowe’s employees volunteered on Saturday to help improve the lounge and outside garden area.  Ben Hardwick, parent of Caleb, Matthew and William, and husband of substitute, Jennifer, headed up the project.  One of the volunteers was parent Jackie Caruccia, mother of Evan.  Everything new was donated by Lowe’s, including the sofa and TV.  The outside received a major overhaul – completely new raised beds, new picnic tables and a new sign (freehanded by a Lowe’s employee).  Thank you, Lowe’s, for making Springer a better place to work and learn while serving the community!
