Historical Foundation installs new officers

The Rockwall County Historical Foundation installed its new officers for 2017 on Sunday, Jan. 8 at Our House in Rockwall. Pictured above are Director Mark Russo, Corresponding Secretary Peggy Atterberry, Membership Vice President Connie Rogge, Scott Self (in back), Treasurer Karen Mahoney, Fundraising Vice President Carolyn Francisco, President Dennis Vierling, Director Jan Self and Recording Secretary, Ada Mooney.

Scott Self led the new officers of RCHF in a teambuilding exercise. Each new officer was given a piece of string and had to make one continuous rope by tying their strings together with square knots. The lesson learned from the exercise: if you’re working in a team and don’t know how to accomplish a task (such as tie a square knot) have someone in the team who knows how do it for you.

Leigh Plagens was honored with a plaque recognizing her as Outstanding Member of 2016. Pictured above are Leigh (left) and RCHF Fundraising VP Carolyn Francisco.
