Rockwall High Robotics team, founder win awards at Dallas Regional event

(ROCKWALL, TX — March 14, 2017) The Rockwall HS Robotics Team, Full Metal Jackets, attended the FIRST Dallas Regional event March 9-11.  The team advanced to the quarter finals of the event, and brought home several awards.  The team won the 2017 Dallas Regional Quality Award and Safety Award.

In addition, the founder of the Full Metal Jackets, Bruce Charbonneau, won the Woodie Flowers Award.  This award is presented to an outstanding mentor in the robotics competitions who best leads, inspires, teaches, and empowers their team using excellent communication skills.  The team nominated Mr. Charbonneau for all of his hard work and dedication he has given the team since their founding in 2004.

Mr. Charbonneau will advance to the Worlds competition to compete against other finalist for the overall Woodie Flowers Award in April.
