(ROCKWALL, TX – March 8, 2017) Helping Hands of Rockwall County treated folks to a one-of-a-kind shopping experience during the ribbon cutting ceremony for its brand-new Boutique yesterday. Members of the Rockwall and Royse City chambers of commerce joined the community to celebrate the commemorative event.
“The Thrift Store and Boutique account for over 30 percent of our revenue every year, and so it is a vital revenue source for us to keep the doors open and money going out the front door for those who need it,” said Rockwall Helping Hands President Jon Bailey. “All of the money that is spent in the store goes directly to the organization to help Rockwall County residents in need, so as you shop you’re also doing good for the community,” Bailey said.
The Boutique of Helping Hands held its grand opening this past weekend on Saturday, March 4. Guests enjoyed live music, treat stations and shopping inside the Boutique’s new home in Building A.
Money generated by the store goes directly to helping community residents not only when they are in financial crisis but also when there is a need for warm clothing or furnishings, as seen after the tornadoes last year.
