(ROCKWALL, TX — April 21, 2017) The Rockwall American Legion Terry Fisher Post #117 will host its 3rd Youth Leadership Symposium on Saturday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Post 117 is excited to follow up on the previous two successful Youth Leadership symposiums held last school year. The Youth Leadership Symposium is held in partnership with Patriot Paws, the premier supplier of service dogs to veterans. The event will focus on teaching leadership skills to High School sophomores and juniors, but is open to all local students.
Fast Facts:
· Builds on the successful Youth Leadership Symposium held last September, and May
· The event is being held at Patriot Paws in Rockwall
· Opportunity for at least 60 Rockwall ISD high school students
· It is based on John Maxwell’s “The Five Levels of Leadership”
· Teaching methods includes short interactive seminars, group and team building exercises and activities
· Lunch and refreshments are provided
