(ROCKWALL, TX — April 28, 2017) The Chick-Fil-A cow stopped by with some yummy breakfast for special students at Jones Elementary! Every year, Jones participates in Chick-Fil-A’s Core Essential’s program. This program encourages students to be better citizens and friends by treating others right, making smart decisions, and maximizing their potential.
Teachers each chose one student per class that was an exemplary model of these qualities all year. Students who were chosen showed leadership, kindness, consideration, and good behavior the entire school year.
Diane Cockrill, the school counselor, organized the event and said, “It’s a wonderful way to acknowledge those students who have been doing the right thing all year, even when no one was looking.”
