(ROYSE CITY, TX — May 11, 2017) The American Legion Post 100 has been able to secure one of the Iraq/Afghanistan Traveling Walls to be put on display at Royse City City Hall on May 29th. The event will be open to the public.
The Iraq/Afghanistan Traveling Wall contains the images and names of all of the Texas soldiers who have been killed in the Global War on Terrorism. It was created by a North Texas American Legion member who desired to honor the sacrifices of our military members in the most recent conflict.
The American Legion will have a ceremony outside of City Hall at 10 am and then open the doors to the event, and the public can view it from 10 am to 5 pm.
