Rep. Ratcliffe commends military academy appointees from Rockwall County

(ROCKWALL, TX — June 7, 2018) Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) commended four students from Rockwall County for accepting military academy appointments for the upcoming school year.

From Rockwall High School, Michelle Adkins-Mills and Cole Talley received an appointment to West Point, Madison James received an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and Kevin Smith received and appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. From Rockwall-Heath High School, Ethan Oliver received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.

“I’d like to personally commend each one of these students for their prestigious appointments to attend military academies in the upcoming school year. This distinct honor is reserved for only the very best and brightest students in the country who’ve truly distinguished themselves inside and outside the classroom,” Ratcliffe said.

“Michelle, Cole, Madison and Ethan’s selfless decision to devote their talents to serving our country should make the entire 4th District of Texas proud. I have no doubt that they will continue to accomplish great things during their time at their respective Academy, during their service, and beyond.”
