(ROCKWALL, TX — October 15, 2018) Rockwall LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) will host Texas House member and Chair of the Mexican-American Legislative Caucus Rafael Anchia at its Oct. 23 meeting. He will discuss the issues before the upcoming Texas legislative session. Representative Anchia is currently serving his seventh term in the Texas Legislature and represents a western portion of Dallas County.
For the past three legislative sessions, Representative Anchia has been Chair of the International Trade and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee of the Texas House of Representatives. Most recently, he was elected by his peers as Chair of the Mexican-American Legislative Caucus, the oldest and largest Latino caucus in the United States. Representative Anchia has dedicated his public service to fighting for civil rights and public education, protecting the environment and improving access to healthcare for women and children.
The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Arboledas Mexican Grill, 1103 Ridge Road, Rockwall, Texas 75087. The meeting is free and open to the public.
