PCI Enterprises in Heath Brings Growth, Opportunity to Community

(HEATH, TX — December 31, 2018) When Rob Sellek and his team at PCI Enterprises relocated some 1,500 miles from California to Rockwall County, it didn’t take long for them to make a lasting impact on a small community not too far from their home base.

Sellek and his company, an industry leader in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of millwork products, transformed several dilapidated and abandoned buildings in the small town of Clarksville – located a couple hours from Rockwall in the Red River district – into a manufacturing facility encompassing six warehouses and half a million square feet, bringing many jobs to the community. Not only that, Sellek and his team helped update and restore the town’s only park so that kids in the area can have a safe place to play and have tons of fun with their families.

Bringing families together is not just a way of life for Sellek personally, but a philosophy which permeates throughout his entire company. Located in the building once belonging to Rockwall Living Magazine at 6765 Horizon Rd. in Heath, PCI Enterprises employs several husband and wife teams, all of who made the journey with their families to Rockwall when the company relocated its offices about a year ago.

“Since we were all coming out to the area multiple times throughout the year we thought, what would it look like if we all just moved out there?” said Daniel Milkie, a director at PCI Enterprises. “We looked around the Dallas area for a cool place we could thrive in, and that’s when we found Rockwall.”

Sellek said all 32 families with the company have absolutely loved the Rockwall community, the schools and the people.

“Everyone here has acclimated extremely well,” Sellek said. “We all love being here in Rockwall.”

Many of the PCI Enterprises team members got their start with the company at a young age. Since moving to Rockwall, PCI has continued to provide many internship opportunities for teens in the Rockwall community and in Clarksville to learn and grow with the company while exploring their passion. With their internship program at Clarksville High School, students can get hands-on experience working across multiple departments at PCI’s manufacturing warehouse during the summer.

“We have a couple of 15-year-old student interns whose passion is designing video games. So we found a spot for them in our Video and Marketing departments, and right now they’re working on creating videos of rooms with crown molding for Home Depot – at 15 years old! It’s incredible!” Sellek said.

Through weekly leadership training sessions, PCI fosters a unique work environment that allows team members to build their confidence and experience growth on both a professional and personal level.

“We believe everyone’s a leader, and that the most valuable asset is to be able to equip other people to accel past themselves,” Sellek said.
