VEXIQ Elementary Female Robotics Team Wins Think Award at VEX World Championship

(ROCKWALL, TX — May 8, 2019) The VEXIQ elementary female Robotics team, VEXperts, won the Think Award at the VEX World Championship in Louisville, KY last week.

The Think Award is presented to a team that has developed and effectively used quality programs as part of their strategy to solve the game challenge. Key criteria for the award are:

  • Team’s autonomous code is consistent and reliable
  • All programming is cleanly written, well documented, and easy to understand
  • Team has explained a clear programming strategy to solve the game challenge
  • Team demonstrates their programming management process, including version history
  • Teamwork, interview quality, and team professionalism

VEXperts had a successful season winning autonomous and driver Skills at regular season events. A Skills win at the State Finals provided an invitation to the VEX World Championship, and they ended the regular season ranked 1st in Texas, 4th in the United States, and 15th in the world. Making up the VEXperts team are:
