(ROCKWALL, TX — August 12, 2019) Hundreds of cyclists braved the Texas summer heat for a fantastic cause during the 2019 Hot Rocks Bike Ride on Aug. 10, sponsored by the Rockwall Noon Rotary.
The Rotary’s signature fundraising event saw riders of all ages participated in routes of 54, 30, 24 and 12 miles. Each route had fully-stocked rest stops with ice cold water, hydration drinks, refreshments and Hot Rocks swag. Rest stop sponsors included Toyota of Rockwall, American National Bank of Texas, The Roundabout, Nissan of Greenville and Greenville Hyundai, and Fisher & Zitterich Dentistry. Following the ride, cyclists enjoyed a complimentary lunch provided by Fuddruckers.
For the past 33 years, the Hot Rocks Bike Ride has helped the Rotary to fund thousands of dollars in scholarships for graduating Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath High School students.
