Rockwall Reading for Adults Program to Hold Tutor Training Aug. 24

(ROCKWALL, TX — August 13, 2019) The Rockwall County Library Literacy Program, Reading For Adults (RFA), will hold a training session for new tutors. RFA has been serving Rockwall County for over 14 years, providing free educational classes to community adults. The program offers classes in ESL (English as a Second Language), GED, Citizenship and Adult Literacy. The tutors are local volunteers, from varying career sectors.

A Tutor Training session is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session will be held in the Literacy Center at the Rockwall County Library, located at 1215 E. Yellowjacket, Rockwall, Texas. The session will include a lunch break – participants should bring a sack lunch.

Tutors must be at least 19 years old. Teaching experience is not required, but all tutors must attend a training session.
