(ROCKWALL, TX — Nov. 26, 2019) The community celebrated a festive time of shopping, food, fellowship and giving back during the Rockwall Helping Hands Festival of Trees this past weekend.

Area businesses and individuals helped deck the halls of the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront with dazzling Christmas trees for the 10th annual event. Guests also enjoyed some early holiday shopping with tons of merchandise from the Helping Hands Thrift Store and Boutique.

The event kicked off with a Lunch & Style show sponsored by Texas Health Hospital Rockwall on Nov. 22, where models walked the runway dressed in casual and formal holiday-inspired apparel from the Helping Hands Thrift Store and Boutique. Emceeing the fashion show this year were award-winning Dallas lifestyle blogger Cynthia Smoot, and reality television star and empowerment coach Tiffany Hendra.

On Nov. 23, folks dressed their best for the Festival of Trees Gala as they dined on a delicious entree and desserts. During the sold-out event, Helping Hands recognized some key individuals who have gone above and beyond in helping the agency serve those in need in Rockwall County this year. Congrats to the following who received awards:

Chairman’s Award – Jack Green
President’s Award – Chris Cuny
Dr. David Lensch Award – Luam Tekle

Folks then enjoyed the opportunity to win some one-of-a-kind raffle prizes, including a 14 Karat white gold Infinity Necklace donated by Willis Fine Jewelry.

All proceeds from the Festival of Trees will go towards Helping Hands services and programs benefiting area families in need.
