Senior Spotlight: Cheyenne Smith, Rockwall High School

Cheyenne Smith is a four-year choir member of the Rockwall Yellow Jacket Choir, where she currently serves as the student director and was the Choir Homecoming Sweetheart. She is also a member of Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society where she serves as Secretary, National Honor Society, and was a member of best buddies as well as Jacket Babes Drill Team.

Outside of school Cheyenne participates in Youth Group at her church where she has led worship under the direction of Amy and Hans Grumbein. She volunteers teaching American Sign Language to local community members as well as at the Animal Shelter.

Cheyenne is an 11-year Girl Scout and is currently finishing up her Gold Award. She has also received numerous awards in vocal performance including being in the All Region Choir and advancing to state for Solo and Ensemble three years in a row.

Cheyenne will graduate in the top of her class as an AP Scholar along with a distinguished level of achievement. She will be attending Texas Woman’s University where she will be majoring in Music Education as plans to be a Choral Conductor at a local Texas high school.
