Rockwall Women’s League holds drive thru Grant Reception for local nonprofits

(ROCKWALL, TX — May 21, 2020) The Rockwall Women’s League held a drive thru Grant Reception for several area nonprofits at the Rockwall High School parking lot on May 20.

Thanks to the generous support of the community, RWL raised $216,000 through its Big Hat event and its first ever virtual “Cat’s Meow” Ball. The money goes to local senior students in the form of scholarships, and to nonprofits in the form of grants.

Charity organizations that received grants in the May 20th drive thru event included:

• Helping Hands – Children’s Medical Fund
• Helping Hands – Assistance and Recovery

• Meals on Wheels
• Oak Hill Animal Rescue
• One Man’s Treasure
• Patriot Paws
• Poiema Foundation
• Rainbow Room
• Rockwall Adoption Center (Animal Shelter)
• Rockwall Art League
• Rockwall Co. Historical Foundation
• Rockwall Grace Clinic
• Salute the Kids
• Special Olympics of Texas, Rockwall Co.
• Veteran’s Outpost
• Women in Need
