Toyota of Rockwall partners with Toyota/Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association and the Salvation Army to feed local families in need

(ROCKWALL, TX — May 22, 2020) Toyota of Rockwall, Toyota/Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association and the Salvation Army provided 240 boxes full of groceries for local families in need at the Rockwall dealership today.

TLMODA is a group of minority automotive dealers dedicated to sustaining diversity and inclusion within the automotive world. Recognizing the devastating impact that COVID-19 has had on families across the country, TLMODA partnered with the Salvation Army to donate and safely distribute the grocery boxes to feed a family of four for up to a week.

Their support and contribution spread across 17 states and 24 cities across the nation, including here in Rockwall.

Toyota of Rockwall strives to give back to the community in many different ways. Through its matching grant program in partnership with Toyota Motor Sales, each year Toyota of Rockwall is able to provide $5,000 each to Rockwall ISD, Lone Star CASA, One Man’s Treasure and Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County. Toyota of Rockwall also joins efforts with Rockwall ISD high schools each year for its Pack the Pantry Food Drive, providing truckloads full of nonperishable items for the Rockwall County Helping Hands food pantry.

“This partnership with TLMODA and the Salvation Army in providing food for families represents our philanthropic spirit here at Toyota of Rockwall,” said Barbara Jackson, owner of the Rockwall dealership. “It’s an honor for to us to be a part of this effort feeding families in need across the nation.”
