ROCKWALL, TX – July 31, 2020 — Rockwall High School student Kate English was recently selected to become a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). The Society recognizes top high school scholars across the nation who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, scholarship and community involvement.

“On behalf of the NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Kate has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” said NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes. “Kate is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future.”

NSHSS members automatically become lifetime members upon their initiation into the Society. The NSHSS provides valuable resources to help members pursue their passions as they navigate through high school, college and career.

“We are proud to provide lifetime membership to young scholars to support their growth and development,” said NSHSS President James W. Lewis. “We aim to help students like Kate build on their academic success by connecting them with unique learning experiences and resources to help prepare them for college and meaningful careers.”
