Rockwall County Democrats host virtual wine tasting fundraiser Sept. 5

ROCKWALL, TX – August 24, 2020 —The Rockwall County Democratic Party has partnered with The Downing Bottle and Bites in downtown Rockwall to present “Reds, Whites, and You,” a fundraising virtual wine tasting event. The event will be held via Zoom at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. Bundles are $50 each, which include three selections of red, two selections of white, and a charcuterie tray, plus a special gift from the fundraising team. RCDP will deliver bundles upon request from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the day of the event as well, or you can pick them up at The Downing Bottle and Bites during the same time frame.

“Our fundraising event sounds exciting and is an event I believe will excel expectations,” said County Chair Ericka Ledferd. “Fundraisers are the incentives of change, and our RCDP Fundraising Committee will help us bring blue to our county.”

The Zoom will be led by their Sommalier and will be a great opportunity to learn about wine and make connections in the community.

Proceeds will benefit the RCDP as they enter the November voting season. The party is growing exponentially in the Rockwall area and hopes to bring together like-minded individuals along with those who are just interesting in a fun, festive online activity in a time where socialization can be so difficult.
