ROCKWALL, TX – September 16, 2020 — A Rockwall businessman will open an upscale, neighborhood craft beer bar at The Harbor on Monday, Sept. 21.
Ridham Bhatt, who runs the Cold Stone Creamery at The Harbor along with his wife Helat, invites the community to the opening of The Brass Tap (2075 Summer Lee Dr. Suite R101), featuring more than 150 craft beers from across the globe. The craft beer bar and entertainment venue is well known for its extensive localized brewery offerings, specialty cocktails and premium wines paired perfectly with a select menu of upscale shareables.
“Craft beer is my hobby, and the level of product we sell at The Brass Tap is very high quality,” Bhatt said. “We’re not just a regular bar, we’re a premium bar. We hand-batter everything from chicken to shrimp, so all of our food is fresh and never frozen.”
Bhatt was in healthcare/IT for several years, when an opportunity came about for him last year to pursue his longtime dream of opening his own bar. Bhatt’s cousin Kirat Shahiwala and their friend Ravi Patel, who also have backgrounds in healthcare and I.T., joined him on his new venture. After looking around at different franchise options around the area, the trio decided to go with The Brass Tap because of the exceptional service, high quality craft beers and food, and effective business model.
All five Dallas/Ft. Worth franchise locations of The Brass Tap have one thing in common: they all serve craft beer that’s brewed in their area and region. That means folks in Rockwall can expect lots of locally sourced craft beer that’s unique to the community.
“The Brass Tap does a great job with featuring local and regional craft beers on our tap walls that you won’t necessarily find in your local liquor stores,” said Jamie Cecil, vice president of franchise development for The Brass Tap. “That’s because of the great relationships we have with the local breweries.”
Cecil said the location at The Harbor was the perfect spot for the craft beer venue.
“The location there with the lake, the synergy with the local hotels and just the overall atmosphere really fits well with what The Brass Tap brings,” Cecil said.
You’ll also find food offerings that pair exceptionally well with any of the craft beers on the menu. Each location provides a distinctive space for social gatherings and entertainment, with an unparalleled atmosphere created through live music, trivia, sports, exclusive beer tastings and tap takeovers.
Not only does The Brass Tap serve up local products, Bhatt said they’re very big on supporting their local community.
“The Brass Tap in Rockwall wants to go above and beyond for this community,” Bhatt said. “We are open to any event or sponsorship opportunities, and to support the community in any way we can.”
