ROCKWALL, TX – September 22, 2020 — The Rockwall city council recognized Constitution Week with a proclamation during its regular meeting on Sept. 21. Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt proclaimed Sept. 17 – Sept. 23, 2020 as Constitution Week in the City of Rockwall.
Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution Rockwall Chapter presented several fun facts about the Constitution during the proclamation. On Sept. 17, the nation celebrated the 233rd anniversary of the drafting of the U.S. Constitution. It is the oldest and shortest Constitution in existence today, and only takes 45 minutes to read it.
The D.A.R. Rockwall chapter encourages everyone to read the U.S. Constitution, find what you love about it, and share that with your children and grandchildren.
