ROCKWALL, TX – October 14, 2020 — The Rockwall Police Department will participate in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community is invited to bring any unused or unwanted prescription drugs to Rockwall PD’s Community Services office at 1113 Ridge Rd.

They are not able to take liquids, aerosol containers or needles. The Drug Enforcement Administration is also accepting vape pens to be disposed of, and the batteries must be removed from the vape pen.

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about medication abuse. For more information visit deadiversion.usdoj.gov/drug_disposal/takeback/.
