Rockwall Rib, Rub, Run & Roll 2020 a sizzling success

ROCKWALL, TX – October 6, 2020 — Folks at this past weekend’s Rib, Rub, Run & Roll event in downtown Rockwall welcomed beautiful fall weather, some sweet-looking wheels at the car show, and of course some smokin’ hot BBQ.

Taking home the title of Grand Champion in this year’s IBCA-sanctioned BBQ competition is Cody Malin with Smokin Aces BBQ 2. Reserve Grand Champion went to Ben Marshall of 1845 BBQ.

Kicking off the Rib Rub 2020 event was a 5K, 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run. Fourteen-year-old Evan Martin of Heath crossed the finish line first in the 5K, while 25-year-old McKennon Walton of Royse City claimed first place in the 10K. Click here to view the full results of the races.
